Women Making a Difference
Kit is asking readers to tell us about remarkable women making a difference in their communities. Through her volunteer efforts or through her involvement with an established volunteer program. We are also looking for a high school girl who deserves to be recognized for her involvement in her community. Kit’s inaugural event will be held on September 20th to honor these special women.
To Be Eligible
Nominee must live in the Indianapolis metro area or in the surrounding counties (Kit readership area). Nominee must be a woman you know and a legal resident of United States. Nominators and Nominees may not be employees or immediate family members of any organization affiliated with the event.
Nomination Time Frame
Nominations begin February 1st and must be received by July 23rd. Finalists will be notified by August 10th. To nominate go to Kitindy.com and the tab Women Making A Difference (WMD)
Three finalists along with the winning high school student will be invited to Indianapolis each with a paid guest. Winners must be available to attend the event. The 2018 event will be held on September 20th. Location to be determined
Kit releases the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the nomination process or in violation of any of our guidelines. We also reserve the right to terminate or modify the program as needed.
Submitting a nomination and/or the acceptance of an award constitutes permission to use the nominator’s and or award recipients nomination name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this program in all media now known for the ability to promote, market and advertise the program moving forward without compensation, review or approval.
Kit will not use or disclose the nominee or nominators address, phone number or email address for anything other than to notify a potential award recipient unless permitted by the nominee.
A panel of qualified judges will judge all eligible nominations based on the following criteria: impact of the nominee’s efforts on her community, cumulative effect of the nominees efforts, amount of time provided by her volunteer efforts, her passion to inspire others and on the overall written nomination article.
Nominations are final upon submission. Kit judges have the right to disqualify any nomination that is well over the 1000 word count and that has not been submitted via the Kit web site. We also have the right to disqualify any nomination that is not in good character, has false or misleading statements, may violate the law and or does not meet up with Kit’s editorial standards. Kit may also request additional information. By submitting a nomination you agree that your nomination conforms to these guidelines.
